Communion with the Raven Queen

Communion with the Raven Queen
About the Artwork:

The setting was in a stone cold sacred chamber of the Raven Queen's Temple wherein the Communion with the Raven Queen is held. The Communion Pool - filled with blood, the night, also painted in blood due to the Blood Moon.

The chamber was dark and eerie, lit by fire and moonlight passing through the ceiling - a stained-glass dome with a round opening where ravens flock as if celebrating the Communion.

The main character about to be soaked in the blood bath - the Raven Queen lurks from her back and performs the Communion.

My backstory about the artwork:

This was a commission I made for a client to commemorate the Communion scenario of the main subject, Nerathiel - an Aasimar Bloodhunter/Warlock of the Raven Queen, with the Raven Queen herself.

There's a lot of point of interest in this artwork like:

- Nerathiel's body language to the blood flowing in her shoulder.

- The subtle reflection of Nerathiel in the pool but the Queen had none.

- The Old Worn-out Crown of the Queen.

- The omens in the stained-glass ceiling.

- Is the queen wearing a mask or is that her actual face?

I will leave the answers up to your imagination but what I wanted my audience to do is look into the artwork closer or zoom in to it. Gaze into the painting, follow the hand strokes, feel the subtle heat of fire in this cold chamber and smell the scent of wind with a hint of a raven's feather. And so I hope you'd enjoy the artwork!

Thank you so much and feel free to leave your feedback about it.
